Kirara is Sango's pet demon, she was given to her by her father. When we first see her, she's actually pretty huge and scary-looking with a demon's head in her mouth. But she is not at all frightening, nor dangerous in her little cat form ^__^ She is a trusty pet, and extremely intelligent. She is often the one who sences coming dangerous and she is a good fighter. Kirara never gives up and really loves Sango.
Personality: This female demon is very protective of Sango and her friends. She can't speak, but she's still smart enough to understand and to express herself perfectly.
Note about Kiraras age: In episode 26, we see a short scene near the end in which Kirara is standing with Midoriko, the powerful miko who first "created" the Shikon no Tama, so Kirara must actually be really old.
Skills: When in her big size, Kirara can fly, carrying people on her back. This saves the gang from many dangers. She's also got huge, saber-cat-like teeth and claws that are good for hand-to-hand fighting, but they're not too useful against the more powerfull enemies. She is a good fighter, brave, strong and intelligent.
