Status: Shape-shifting demon and main enemy of ALOT of people/demons.

Naraku is a very evil demon. He is a shape-shifting demon and will use anyone acording to his own needs. But the origin of the villan who made the heroes of the story suffers a complex.
Before InuYasha met Kikiyou, she was caring for a cripled bandit called Onigumo (name means: Ogre Spider). He could not move and was covered in bandages all over after severe burns. But he could still talk. He was an evil man with a lust for Kikiyou. He knew she possesed the Shikon no Tama(Jewel of Four Souls)and nothing would make him happier then seeing the jewel defiled by evil and hate again.
Kikiyou was falling in love with InuYasha, this weakend her powers, and she lost her abilety to keep evil spirits away from Onigumo. When Onigumo found out that Kikiyou was in love with InuYasha, he made a pact with the demons. He offered his body and in return, the demons made a new body for him so that he could take the Shikon no Tama from Kikiyou. From that point Naraku was born, thoug he still had the spider shaped svar Onigumo had on his back.
He disguised himself as InuYasha and attacked Kikiyou, wounding her badly. Naraku had thougt that Kikiyou would use the jewel to revive herself, but she chose to die and bring the jewel with her.
After this Naraku caused trobule ewerywhere he ever went, the thing most noted is putting the Kazaana (wind tunnel) curse on Mirokus family. When Kagome brought the Shikon Jewel back, Naraku began collecting the fragments and managed to get about 75% of the jewel. (thanks to Kikiyou -_-) Using the shards Naraku created his Incarnations, and revived the Shichinin-tai.
During this time Naraku has had a few failed attemots of remowing all human-traces on Onigumo from his body. But at Mt. Haku, Naraku manages to become a true deomn, transfering his human influence into his lates incarnation, Hakudoshi. However Naraku still has feeling for Kikiyou.
Attacks:
Kugutsu: The life-size doll of Naraku that can basically do the same things as Naraku does, but efcourse much weaker. Most of the time it is seen, it has Narkakus Baboon outfit on. Knowing Naraku, he uses the doll to do all his dirty work for him. To kill, you have to aim at the heart, and in the manga you have to aim at the immobile part of the body, wich is the chest. InuYasha and the gang destroys it several times, but Naraku just makes a new one.
Transfiguration: Just like Shippou, Naraku is a shape shifter, but a MUCH better one. He used this ability to manipulate Kikiyou and InuYasha in to killing each other.
